I know this is a touchy subject but I thought about it earlier and it is something that the Yankees might have to really consider and truly answer. Better yet what will they do if the unthinkable happens and Huhges gets hurt? Of course this is all speculative and it can only come true if the Yankees, in fact, do something with Wang that results in him coming out of the starting rotation…more than likely this will happen, especially if he continues to pitch the way he has…but in that case what will happen to Wang then? This is my thought process:

Well let the debates begin….NOW! I haven’t heard them yet but I am sure there are sports talk radio shows that will blow up with callers yelling about Wang starting yesterday when Phil Hughes got sent to the bullpen for pitching much better than that so far this year. But one thing people have to remember is that WE WON THE GAME! I know that isn’t condolence for much people but…it doesn’t matter…Do people forget about how much of an asset Wang is? Is that what Yankee fans have become? I don’t remember Yankee fans turning their back on a player…Granted they have let them know when they fail but it seems like no one wants Wang to pitch anymore. The only argument I have is that they shouldn’t have made the move official but I do believe you needed to let Wang start after his performance in Cleveland. We can’t give up on this guy, in 2006 and 2007 he WON 19 GAMES EACH YEAR!!! Last year he was 8 and 2 before getting hurt!!! He’s too good to not let him try, and it’s early enough that if they did lose the game it wouldn’t have really mattered! (more…)

Hellooooooo everyone! As you all know there was no Yankee game last night, so I am gunna try to keep this post short and sweet ;-). Soooooo lets get right into it. The Yankees got a well deserved night off last night after playing 16 straight games, they did go 12-4 in that stretch, bringing them up in the AL East standings, and if it wasn’t for them being idle and the Red Sox winning they would still be tied for first (but I’ll take half a game out 🙂 ) And some of the Yankees (Arod & Mariano…ESPN was too good to mention Sabathia and Cano as well) took advantage of the night off to hit the town and watch the incredible performance of King LeBron and the sheer dominance over the Magic. It’s good to see Arod keeping it in his pants and not getting caught coming out of a sleazy strip club or something that he is usually known for. (more…)

I wasn’t listening to the game last night but I can only imagine how John Sterling responded to the epic Teixeira blast in the top of the first…The pitch is delivered (a 92 MPH offering on the inside part of the plate) Teixeira swings and smashes the ball to left field, John Sterling sits for a moment c0llecting his thoughts, waving Susan Waldman off (because this is his moment), all while saying “It is high, it is far, it is gone!”, then he comes out and says it, like so many times before, “A TEX MESSAGE…TEX MARKS THE SPOT”…now please understand I absolutely LOATHE his puns and obnoxious remarks and he should realize that every other Yankee fan does as well…STOP IT JOHN, JUST STOP!
